Role in policy on language and understanding between linguistic communities
On behalf of the cantons, the ch Foundation for Federal Cooperation played a major part in preparatory work for the Languages Act. The Federal Act of 5 October 2007 on the National Languages and Understanding Between the Linguistic Communities, along with the corresponding implementing ordinance, have been in force since 1 January 2010. One of the key objectives of the Languages Act is to promote understanding and exchange between linguistic communities.

Manifesto for linguistic diversity in everyday life in Switzerland (2006)
The "Sprachenmanifest" languages manifesto launched in 2006 was intended to raise awareness of the advantages of linguistic diversity in Switzerland, and to promote multilingualism within our country.
