The ch Foundation's remit has included work in the field of national and international exchange programmes since 1976, and it is constantly expanding its commitments in this area. Thus, for example, in early 2011 it added the EU's "Lifelong Learning" and "Youth in Action" programmes to its sphere of activities.
In early 2011, an advisory service was established with the "GO" platform. This platform offers a comprehensive range of exchange and mobility programmes, both at national level and in the European/extra-European context.
"GO" stands for going beyond borders, gaining experience, acquiring knowledge. Taking part in a mobility programme strengthens individuals' personal and professional skills and intercultural awareness. Foreign language skills and personal networking lay the foundations for a successful career and boost labour market prospects. The ch Foundation's exchange and mobility programmes thus contribute towards giving businesses and educational institutions in Switzerland a competitive edge.
